The Atomic Bombshells Calendar : January

Posted by MYSQLroot on January 18, 2013

Back in late 2011 I spontaneously decided to do a benefit calendar for my friend Chuck, who had been diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma.  I got in touch with several girls via facebook, and they were all excited to participate in the fundraiser.  All of these girls are local to the Viroqua-La Crosse, Wi areas.  I'm so thankful for the work they put in, and the photo sessions and project in general ended up being a really fun endeavor for me.  I gave myself a very small deadline to get this project completed: 3 weeks.  I wanted to get it out there as soon as possible.  For awhile there it seemed like I was doing one or two photoshoots on a daily basis.  I'm so thankful to have worked with these girls, as they made this process as easy and as fun as possible.  We were able to have a Calendar Girl party at a bar in La Crosse, Wi, where Chuck, all of his friends, and most of the calendar girls were able to celebrate and earn some money for the cause.  In the end, I was able to give Chuck a $1,400 check.

On November 4th, 2012, we were all devastated to see Chuck pass away.  I will post links here that will lead you to Chuck's story, and also to my tribute to him that was posted the day he passed away.

Each month I plan to post the pictures from the calendar for that given month.  These pictures were never posted to Facebook before, so for those who did not get a calendar, you'll get to see what you missed.

I've been asked if I'll do another calendar, and in the future I might.  But this one in particular will always hold a special place in my heart.

And now, here is Taylor, our Miss January.

See you in February!
